Local artist, author holds signing for new picture book

Dianne Pace, local artist, author and retired teacher held book signings Nov. 19 at Maggie J’s in Russellville for her new picture book, “Too Many Santas.” In the story, she invites readers to find out why there are so many Santas at Christmastime.

Written in rhyme, “Too Many Santas” is Pace’s third book but the first one she has illustrated herself. She said her main goal is for children to enjoy the story and find it relatable.

Lela Wright Ray, one of her teachers from RHS, said she’s very proud of everything Pace has accomplished over the years. “Dianne has always been talented in lots of ways. I bought six of her books to give as stocking stuffers for great-nephews and nieces. I will tell them with pride that the author is my friend.”

“It was exciting to see former students, and some brought their children with them to buy my book,” said Pace. “A lot of my high school friends came, and that was a wonderful surprise. I’m very pleased with the turnout. It’s rewarding to see so much interest.”

Pace’s book is available at Amazon.com.
