Johnny Gilberto Winter Ortega

Johnny Gilberto Winter Ortega, of Guatemala, passed away Sept. 25 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.

A memorial church service will be held at Iglesia Pentecostal Rey Victorioso in Decatur Oct. 2 from 10 a.m. to noon. A celebration of life will follow after noon. A casting ceremony will follow later that evening at Wilson Dam in Florence at 6 p.m., location to be announced.

Johnny Winter was born in Villa Lobos, Guatemala. He was a very well-known fisherman; it was his passion and his job.

He is survived by his father, Sergio Rolando Winter Rosales (Maria Elena Rodriguez); mother/grandmother Susana Rosales; aunt Mely Sagastume Rosales; his children Esmeralda Winter, Skylar Winter, Safira Winter, Isaiah Hall, Brianna Winter and Pablo Winter; life partner Brittney Winter Williams; and his three siblings, Alvaro Winter, Lesvia Winter and Manolo Winter.

Tendremos un servicio en memoria de Johnny Winter en la Iglesia Pentecostal Rey Victorioso en Decatur, Alabama de 10am – 12pm. Continuaremos con una celebración de vida de las 12pm en adelante. También tendremos una ceremonia de dispersión en Wilson Dam en Florence a las 6 p.m., locacion será anunciada.

Johnny Winter nació en Villa Lobos, Cdad. de Guatemala, Guatemala. El fue un pescador muy conocido; fue su pasión y también su trabajo.

En paz descanse Johnny, le sobrevive su papa Sergio Rolando Winter Rosales (María Elena Rodríguez), mama/abuela Susana Rosales, Tía Mely Sagastume Rosales,  sus hijos Esmerald Winter, Skylar Winter, Safira Winter, Isaiah Hall, Brianna Winter, y Pablo Winter, su compañera de hogar Brittany Winter Williams, y sus tres hermanos Álvaro Winter, Lesvia Winter y Manolo Winter.
