Blue Springs VFD hosts cornhole tournament Saturday

The Blue Springs Volunteer Fire Department will host a cornhole tournament Saturday as a fundraiser for the department.

The tournament is set for noon at the VFD, located at 3001 Highway 75 in Phil Campbell.

“The amount of money that can be won will be determined by how many people are in the tournament,” explained Franklin County EMA Director Mary Glass. Entry fee is $15. “The fire department keeps $5 from each entry.”

Glass said the tournament will feature a blind draw for partners, “so contestants won’t know who they are playing with until the bracket for that tournament is drawn.”

Food and refreshments will be served.
