Phil Campbell B-Team downs Belgreen

Phil Campbell B-Team boys basketball claimed victory over the undefeated Belgreen B-Team, 46-37, during action last week.

Andrew Green led the Bobcats in scoring with 14 points, followed by Sage Raper’s 10.

“We probably just played our most complete game of the season tonight,” said B-Team head coach Cantrell Tyson. “I told the kids prior to the game: Play energetic, play excited, play enthusiastic – and man, they came out and got it done.

“I’m extremely proud of them for their effort tonight. Everybody contributed tonight in a solid win.”

Tyson particularly commended top scorer Green, who was one rebound shy of a double-double for the night.

“Andrew is one of those kids – I never have to question his effort,” Tyson said. “He’s going to give 100 percent for the team every time out. He’s going to be a special player in the future.”
