Tharptown boys get win against Tanner

The Tharptown Wildcats improved to 4-3 and 1-0 in their area with a 63-56 win over Tanner this past week.

The Wildcats and Rattlers were knotted in a tight game throughout the night. The game was tied 10-10 at the end of the first quarter and 28-28 at halftime.

Tanner took a slight lead at the end of the third quarter 46-44. The two teams battled back and forth in the fourth quarter, with Tharptown pulling away in the last minute of the game.

Winston Nolen led Tharptown with 21 points. Hayden Moss hit four three-pointers for 12 points. Colton Simmons and Dylan Valdez added nine points each. Luis Valdez, Edwin Vela and Blake Daily scored four points each.
