Pilgrim’s Pride hosted several local and state officials Wednesday for a tour of the plant. The visit also included a presentation on how Pilgrim’s is working to fight the spread of COVID-19 and contribute to the local and state economy. Those in attendance include State Rep. Jamie Kiel, Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Rick Pate, Russellville Mayor David Grissom, the Russellville City Council, the Franklin County Commission, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cassie Medley, Russellville City Schools Superintendent Heath Grimes, members of the RCS Board of Education and members of the Franklin County Schools Board of Education.
