The board also hired Langley, Ricky Miller and Alena Freshour as substitutes for the 2020-21 school year.

For the TRACKS Program, Kendall Turbyfill, Alicia Duncan, Juliann Riley and Fretwell will work at PCES, and Savannah Smith and LaDonna Baty will work at Vina.

Savannah Latham, Tara Oliver and Bailey Oliver will work at Belgreen; Mirtha Diego and Jessica McSpadden will work with TES; and Leslie Throne and Myra Webster will work with RBES.

In other business, the FCBOE approved the mutual termination of the property lease with the Red Bay Rescue Squad. This building will now be used for bus maintenance and landscaping.

“There are multiple things on a bus which could be fixed quickly if we didn’t have to tow it across the county,” said Franklin County Superintendent Greg Hamilton. “I think it’ll be nice to have that on that side of the county.”

The next FCBOE meeting will be Sept. 14, with the work session beginning at 5 p.m.
