Diamond dreams

Several Franklin County youth participate in the Rising Stars baseball competition this past weekend in Cullman. In addition to a team tournament, players competed in individual skill competitions for speed, pitching velocity and a home run derby.

Sawyer Page was the winner of the 8U speed competition. Ryder Page won the 9U speed competition. Eli Baker placed in the home run derby, while Kruz Cochran and Ty Hamilton placed in the home run derby and pitching velocity competitions.
