RHS soccer teams play to winning records in area

The RHS boys soccer team compiled a record of 5-0-1, including a 3-0 mark in 4A-5A, Area 14, and the girls team finished with a 3-3 record, 2-1 in Area 14 play, before the season-ending pandemic.  The boys were dominating the competition when the season came to an end, outscoring their opponents by a 39-5 goal total for the year. The Russellville girls picked up two wins over Hamilton in 2020 and also got a victory at Mars Hill.

Seniors on the boys’ team included Samuel Bahena, David Baltazar, Andres Campos, Simon Colburn, Mario Cruz, Luis Francisco and Julio Lopez.

Senior girls were Cecilia Andres, Priscila Bahena, Jasmine Figueroa, Molly Fuentes, Cecilia Juan, Gisel Perez, Briana Ramirez, Silvia Salgado, Daimar Santa Maria-Diaz, Gabriela Soto and Priscilla Tristan.
