Lady Bulldog signs with Bevill State

Belgreen softball player Sydney Borden signed a scholarship with Bevill State Community College last week.

Borden is a shortstop and pitcher for the Bulldogs.

In 2019 she had a .378 batting average and a .490 on-base percentage. Borden compiled 42 hits – 11 for extra bases – 34 runs batted in and 25 walks.

In the circle, Borden went 10-3 with 62 strikeouts in 55 innings.

She earned all-area honors and was named to the Times Daily 1A-2A-3A all-area softball team honorable mention.
