The Red Bay Tigers had a perfect week last week, beating Addison, Winston County and Belmont.

Braden Ray and Clay Allison had dominating performances in the first half of the Addison game to help the Tigers out to a 37-18 lead. Ray scored all of his game-high 13 points in the first half. Allison had eight of his 10 points in the first quarter.

Tanner Hamilton and Lane Shewbart scored eight points each. Andrew Ray added six points. Carson Corum and Landon Glover scored four points each. Gage Bays finished two points.

Red Bay 46, Winston County 33

Red Bay relied on a strong defensive game to outlast the Winston County Yellow Jackets 46-33 in an area contest.

Red Bay led Winston County 17-13 at the end of the first quarter and 30-24 at halftime. The Tigers increased their lead to 39-31 in the third quarter held the Yellow Jackets to two points in the fourth quarter.

Hamilton and Allison led Red Bay with 15 points and 14 points respectively. Ray added nine points, Shewbart three points, Bays two points and Glover two points.

Red Bay 48, Belmont 32

Ray scored 18 points to lead the Red Bay Tigers past rival Belmont last week 48-32.

Red Bay led 12-5 at the end of the first quarter and 27-15 at halftime. The Tigers had built a sizable lead by the end of the third quarter, 38-20, over the Cardinals.

Allison added seven points. Bays, Glover and Shewbart scored six points each. Hamilton finished with five points.

Red Bay 69, Addison 46

The Red Bay Tigers beat the Addison Bulldogs for the second time in three days 69-46. It wasn’t much of a game, with Red Bay exploding out to a 41-17 lead by halftime.

Ray led Red Bay with 14 points, and Hamilton followed with 10 points.

Red Bay drops two to Addison

The Reb Bay Tigers split area contests last week with Winston County and Addison. The Tigers beat Winston County 40-31 and lost to Addison 41-32.

Red Bay jumped out to a 15-3 first quarter lead over the Yellow Jackets, and that was just enough to propel the Tigers to the win. Emma McCollister and Kirsten Scott hit two three-pointers each in the first quarter to give Red Bay the edge.

Macy Faulkner led Red Bay with 11 points. McCollister added eight points, Scott six points, Bella West five points and Lila Blackburn four points. Destiny McCollister and Cassidy Kuykendall had two points each. Kylee James and Mackenzi Gasaway finished with one point

each.

The Addison game was just about the opposite of the Winston County game. The Tigers fell behind 14-3 in the first quarter and could never dig themselves out of the hole.

Faulkner scored 14 points, 11 of which came in the second half.

Red Bay lost to Addison a second time three days later, 41-36

Red Bay led 15-7 at the end of the first quarter and 23-18 at halftime – but Addison held Red Bay to three points in the third quarter to take a 28-26 lead.

Lila Blackburn led Red Bay with eight points. Makenzie Hester added seven points.
