Red Bay claims victory over Belgreen, Lauderdale County

The Red Bay Tigers advanced to the semifinals of the TimesDaily Classic last week before succumbing to Deshler. Before that, the Tigers picked up two big wins, however, over Belgreen and Lauderdale County.

Red Bay turned the tables on Belgreen – after losing in double overtime earlier in the year – by winning 50-42 last week.

Belgreen led Red Bay at the half 28-26, but the Tigers shut out the Bulldogs in the third quarter 12-0 to take a 38-29 lead into the final period of play.

Clay Allison led Red Bay with 21 points, hitting four three pointers.

Collin Bonner and Will Bonner scored 12 points and 11 points respectively for the Bulldogs.

Red Bay got a monster game out of Braden Ray to beat Lauderdale County 63-58 in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Red Bay trailed 33-31 at halftime before outscoring Lauderdale County 32-25 in the second half to get the win.

Ray scored 25 points, going nine for 10 in the second quarter and 14 for 16 overall and hitting three three-pointers.

Allison and Jalen Vinson also hit double figures, scoring 12 points and 10 points respectively.
