Belgreen cross-country preps for sectionals

The Belgreen Bulldog cross-country team prepared for the upcoming sectionals this weekend at James Clemens High School in Madison.  

The sectionals will be held at James Clemens Oct. 31.

The Belgreen varsity girls placed second overall in Class 1A-3A. The varsity boys placed fifth overall in Class 1A-3A.

Kimberly Luna finished seventh in 1A-3A with a time of 24:37. She is the 14th-ranked junior in the state.

Canaan Stough placed 6th overall in Class 1A-3A. He is ranked 21st in the state in Class 1A-2A.

Other varsity girls finishers in the James Clements meet were Noell Willingham, 11th, 25:46; Crimson Lindsey, 12th, 26:06; and Maria Estrada, 13th, 26:12.

Other varsity boys finishers were Tyler Mann, 22nd, 21:03; Ivan Luna, 23rd, 21:24; Ale Betts, 27th, 21:47; and Cole King, 29th, 21:53.
