FCSO nabs one for trafficking

Authorities took one into custody earlier this month on charges of possession and drug trafficking.

As the FCSO reported July 18, investigators with the Franklin County and Marion County sheriff’s offices, who are assigned to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Region E Drug Task Force, took Marcos A. Lagos into custody in the City of Russellville July 13.

Lagos, according to the report, was under investigation for drug trafficking, and evidence was found that he was traveling to Russellville to distribute a large amount of crystal methamphetamine.

Agents took Lagos into custody at the Legacy Chevron service station on U.S. Highway 43 in Russellville at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Investigators said Lagos had in his possession approximately 12.65 ounces of crystal methamphetamine as well as 3 grams of cocaine in powder form.

Lagos was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.
