RHS alum graduates from Air Force basic training

U.S. Air Force Airman Maria A. Bahena, daughter of Pedro and Kelly Bahena of Phil Campbell, graduated from military basic training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas, March 15.

Bahena completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the community college of the Air Force.

Bahena is a 2017 graduate of Russellville High School, where she graduated with honors. She was a member of the Marching 100 Band, where she was captain of the majorette line. Bahena was also a member of the cross-country team.
