SPAN students graduate
May 17 a total of 17 students will be graduating from Franklin County’s Special Programming for Achievement Network program.
The ceremony will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Jackson Avenue in Russellville. It will begin at 11 a.m.
Each graduate will receive a certificate of completion. Students are being recognized for obtaining their GEDs, returning to public school at the correct grade level and remediation.
According to director Remona Roberson, a former SPAN student from 2004 will be guest speaker at the event.
SPAN has served more than 900 at-risk youth and families since its creation in Franklin County in 1999.
