Sarah Frances Nichols Duren

Sarah Frances Nichols Duren, 75, passed away July 23 at Helen Keller Hospital. She was born in Hodges to Oran and Prue Nichols. She worked as a director for the BSS Child Development Center and was a member of Red Bay Church of Christ.

Services were July 26 at 11 a.m. at Red Bay Church of Christ with Bro. Scott Webster officiating. Burial was in Single Springs Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ralph Duren of Vina; one daughter, Carla Duren Manasco of Vina; one son, Keith Duren and wife Tanya of Muscle Shoals; two granddaughters, Asia and Iva Duren of Muscle Shoals; one sister, Judy Perrigin of Florence; one brother, Dwight Nichols and wife Betty of Sevierville, Tenn.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, R.V. and Porter Duren; brothers-in-law-Marvin Duren and Joe Crowe; and one son-in-law, Rex Manasco.

Pallbearers were Shane Nichols, Tyrel Nichols, Danny Daniels, Ray Duren, Frank Duren, Guy Duren, Shane Hudson, Robby Duren, Miecree Cannon, Duncan Cannon, David Crowe, Cory Lane and Daniel Wallin.

Visitation was held July 25 from 6-9 p.m. at Red Bay Church of Christ.
