Tractor Supply shares details on new store

Tractor Supply Company has begun construction in Russellville.

Construction on the store, located at 14001 Highway 43 Suite 14, began earlier this month with a goal of opening in early fall.

“The growth of Tractor Supply is meant to support the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers, ranchers and others who enjoy the rural lifestyle – including tradesmen and small businesses,” said a Tractor Supply representative. “Russellville is a great location for Tractor Supply Company because of the community’s commitment to that rural lifestyle and its ability to support the needs of its community.”

Tractor Supply will serve as a “one-stop shop” for local farmers, livestock and pet owners, ranchers, part-time and hobby farmers, gardeners, homeowners, tradesmen and others.

The Russellville Tractor Supply plans to hire 12-15 employees with firsthand knowledge and expertise in caring for pets, livestock and land.

“We’re not just building a store; we’re building a team that understands the needs of the Russellville community,” said district manager Landis Rains. “At Tractor Supply, we carry products that support the lifestyle our customers lead, the land they own and the animals in their care – so whether you are someone who raises horses and pets, runs a hobby farm or just enjoys the rural lifestyle, we’ll be there to make sure you have all the tools you need.”

The Tractor Supply team will also seek to support pet adoption initiatives, 4-H and FFA, county fairs and livestock shows.

Buffalo Construction Inc., will construct the 24,243-square-foot retail space, designed by Oxford. The store plans include a sales floor, external support service area and pet wash station.

A Tractor Supply representative would not comment on how long Tractor Supply has considered opening a location in Russellville, saying only, “Tractor Supply always puts great consideration into the areas it moves to.”

The store opening, which is expected to occur in October, will kick off with a four-day Grand Opening celebration, during which customers can sign up for Tractor Supply’s new Neighbor’s Club loyalty program to receive member-only offers, birthday offers, personal purchase summaries and receipt-free returns.
