Savannah Mills receives NW-SCC President’s Award

Savannah Mills, of Russellville, received Northwest-Shoals Community College’s most prestigious honor April 20 when she was awarded the President’s Award for the Phil Campbell campus.

Mills is a member of the internationally-recognized Alpha Zeta Iota chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. She is an officer of the Student Government Association, member of the NW-SCC Chorale and Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.

Mills has been consistently named to the President’s List for her academic achievements.

The President’s Award is the most prestigious honor awarded by NW-SCC. The faculty and staff submit nominations to the Award Committee for the final selection. The recipient must have earned a grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Also, the recipient must have demonstrated leadership and actively participated in community service while attending NW-SCC.
