UNA awards scholarship to Huckaba, Boyd, of Russellville

Caleb S. Huckaba, of Russellville, has been awarded a Presidential Scholarship by the University of North Alabama. Layne Boyd, of Russellville, has been awarded a Leadership Scholarship by UNA.
Huckaba received the following honors while at Colbert Heights High School: highest grade point average in grade award, grades 9-12; Colbert County High School Scholars Bowl Science Category winner, grades 9-11; Colbert County High School Scholars Bowl overall winner, grades 9 and10. His student involvement at Colbert Heights High School included FBLA, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, High School Scholars Bowl and Student Ambassadors.

An incoming freshman at UNA, Huckaba is the son of Bobby and Angela Huckaba.

At Russellville High School, Boyd is active in Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council as treasurer, Christian Students United as project chairman, Future Business Leaders of America as treasurer, Future Educators of America as vice president, Students Against Destructive Decisions representative, Spanish Club representative, Peer Helpers, American History Honors Club and Annual Staff, and she serves as National Honor Society vice president.

An incoming freshman at UNA, Boyd is the daughter of Heath and Heather Boyd.
