Fans vote for festival bands: Week 4 results

The annual Watermelon Festival is set for Aug. 18-19 in downtown Russellville, and voting continues through the end of the month to determine who will provide the musical entertainment.

For the 37th Annual Watermelon Festival, the Chamber of Commerce is letting fans decide who will perform on the mainstage. Bands to select from are Dixie Mafia, Kerry Gilbert Band, Southern Heat Band, Joseph Baldwin Band, First Born Sons, Purpose, Jarred Pierce, Cadillacs and Tremayne. The top five bands will perform at this year’s festival.

After four weeks of voting, the following groups are in the lead: Southern Heat (9,116 votes), Joseph Baldwin Band (6,024), Purpose (3,324), First Born Sons (2,422) and the Kerry Gilbert Band (1,815). Voting totals are as of Tuesday morning.

Fans may cast one vote per device, per day by visiting franklincountychamber.org through March 31.
