Kara Eleanor Coan of Russellville and Seth Adam Pendergrass of Tuscumbia were married on New Year’s Eve in a candlelight ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Russellville. The wedding was officiated by Richard Parker.

Vocalists were Sherene Wade, Lydia Wade and Laurel Wade, all cousins of the bride. Guitar and mandolin music was performed by Lucas Johnson and Leah Johnson, both cousins of the groom. Brent Pickett, Jacob Aycock and Aaron Harbin, all cousins of the bride, served as wedding attendants. The wedding was directed by Samantha Stone.

The bride and groom shared their first meal as husband and wife with their wedding guests at a dinner reception held at the A.W. Todd Centre. Reception hostesses were Annakay Holland, Kaydee Holland, Jana Harbin and Sherene Wade. Patti Bendall catered the event. Chase Holland was emcee. The couple ushered in the New Year at the Shoals Marriott in Florence. The couple will honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in the spring.
