Kathryn James Thorn Churchwell
Kathryn James Thorn Churchwell, age 88, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., formerly of Russellville, passed away Jan. 7 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be Jan. 11 from noon 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home Russellville. Funeral service will be Jan. 11 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Kathryn was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, D.G. James Sr. and Florence James; husband Tex Churchwell; and two brothers, four sisters and one great-great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter Carol Stephens and husband Claude; son Gary Thorn and wife Teresa; grandchildren Ryan Thorn, Amy Turner, Claudia Condrey and Damon Stephens; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
