Troopers investigate fatal wreck

A two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon has claimed the life of a Tuscumbia woman.

Rhonda Carol Roden, 54, was killed when the UTV she was operating was struck by a 1999 Buick driven by LG Arnold Blankenship, 83, of Russellville.

Roden was transported to Russellville Hospital in Russellville, where she was pronounced dead. Blankenship was uninjured.

The crash occurred about 2:10 p.m. on Franklin County 99, ten miles east of Russellville. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
