Rebecca J. Jenkins

Rebecca J. Jenkins, 91, passed away Nov. 12 at her residence. She was born in Richlands, N.C., and worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of Assembly of Christ House of Prayer, Dennis, Miss.

Services will be Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. at Assembly of Christ House of Prayer, Dennis, Miss., with Bro. Jackie Hastings officiating. Burial will be in Assembly of Christ House of Prayer Cemetery, Dennis, Miss.

Survivors are three daughters, Carolyn Smither and husband Harlan, St. Joseph, Mo., Priscilla Jenkins, Los Angeles, Calif., and Madeena Jenkins, Red Bay; three grandchildren, Wayne Smither and wife Lori, Sherlyn Sipes and Keith Smither and wife Teresa; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Cooper, Greenwood, Ind., and Anthiea Hanson, of Red Bay; son-in-law Larry Beal, Red Bay; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Jenkins; a daughter, Rebecca C. Beal; her parents, Herbert R. Marshburn and Kate Hollingsworth Marshburn; and one brother, Hollingsworth R. Marshburn.

Visitation will be Nov. 15, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, and she will lie in state Nov. 16, 10-11 a.m. at the church.
