Inmate escapes while on work release in Franklin County

The Alabama Department of Corrections is on the lookout for an inmate who escaped while on work release in Franklin County yesterday.

Adryll Detise Banks, 37, who was assigned to the Hamilton Work Release Center following a robbery charge in Lee County, reportedly went missing about noon Friday.

According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, he was last seen leaving his work release in Russellville. Banks, a black male, 5 foot 9 inches, was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the location of Banks is urged to call local law enforcement or the Alabama Department of Corrections at 1-800-831-8825.
