Request help with heating, cooling costs

The Administration for Children and Families has released almost $40M to help low-income families in Alabama stay warm during winter, stay cool during summer and make cost-effective home energy repairs. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides funding to assist households with energy bills and weatherizing homes for energy improvements, for vulnerable households with very young children, individuals with disabilities and older individuals. To apply contact the state LIHEAP agency (334-242-5365, willie.whitehead@adeca.alabama.gov) or call 866-674-6327.
