Red Bay Police Department arrested one for public intoxication at the Red Bay City Council meeting Monday.

Shanna Moore Ozbirn, a teacher at Red Bay High School and contributing writer for the Red Bay News, “appeared under the influence in a public place, so (she) was charged with public intoxication,” Chief Janna Jackson confirmed. “There weren’t any major problems caused.”

Red Bay police, were present at the meeting, also charged Ozbirn with possession of prohibited liquor, which was found in her vehicle.
