Sept. 28, Patrick Ryan Tilley, 39, was charged with two counts of possession of forged instrument, first degree, by the Russellville Police Department following multiple reports of attempts to make purchases with counterfeit money.

Russellville Police Department investigators reported that Sept. 24 RPD was notified by a local business about an individual who had attempted to make a purchase with counterfeit currency. Employees at that business were able to provide a description of the suspect and also obtained a tag number on the vehicle the suspect was driving. Sept. 27the same suspect passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a different local business.

Investigators said they were able to obtain enough information from the second business to make a positive identification on the suspect. Wednesday afternoon Russellville police located the suspect and made the arrest.
