James Norman Woodruff
James Norman Woodruff, 62, passed away Aug. 25 at UAB Hospital, Birmingham. He was born in Detroit, Mich., and was retired as a corrections officer in Michigan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Survivors are six children: Jessica Savage and husband Craig of Red Bay, Mark Woodruff and wife Kerri of Jackson, Mich., Andrew Woodruff and wife Ashley of Garden City, Mich., Miguel Somers, Jimmy Somers and Julie Somers; and twenty-two grandchildren: James, Timothy, Cameron, Lillian, Sarah, Ayden, Carson, Michael, Devlin, Alyssa, Dakota, Mackenzie, Brian, Rebecca, Ronnie, Dustin, Sabrina, Caleb, Mariah, Angelica, Tiffany and Michel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Raines and Sarah Jean Raines.
