‘Celebrity’ waiters raise funds for Will’s Willing Walkers
Will’s Willing Walkers, a local Relay for Life team, recently raised several hundred thousand dollars to aid in the fight against cancer – with the donations and service of a few local “celebrities.”
Community members and political candidates lined up both to donate and to wait tables for the group’s Celebrity Waiters Night at Taylor’s Restaurant. Coordinators said the event, which has been held the past 15 years, was a success, and they offered their thanks to all those involved.
Those waiting tables and donating: Curtis Baker, Chase Sparks, Greg Hamilton, Veronica Stancil, Doug Clement, Lee Parker, Donald Borden, Justin Green, Gary Cummings, members of the Russellville Police Department and Justin Boyles.
Those also making donations: Buckshot & Ann Saint, Barry Moore, Norris Lewey, Don Hastings, David Grissom, David Palmer, Terry and Carol Bolton, Roger Bedford, William Nale, Russellville Electric, Russellville Gas, John Pilati, Taylor’s Restaurant, Rex and Jean Mayfield, Paula and Danny McDowell and Johnny Mack and Martha Morrow.
