RHS cheerleaders raise funds with getaway giveaway

The Russellville Golden Tiger Cheerleaders want to send two RHS fans on a Golden Tiger Getaway – in an effort that also serves as a fundraiser for the girls.

Tickets for the Golden Tiger Getaway drawing at $5 per ticket. The getaway includes a one night’s stay at Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa for two, dinner for two at Swampers and a $25 Carmike gift card.

“It’s really a good package,” said cheer Coach Stephanie Mayfield. She said there aren’t many tickets left, as the giveaway has generated significant interest among Golden Tiger fans. “This has been the best fundraiser ever.” Mayfield said 100 percent of proceeds go toward the cheerleaders’ bills.

The squad will announce the winner at the Deshler, Aug. 26, at halftime.

Tickets can be purchased from any varsity or JV cheerleader or by calling Mayfield at 256-810-7067.
