Vina holds youth basketball camp

Boys and girls will have the chance to show their stuff on the court – and maybe learn a thing or two – during a youth basketball camp at Vina High School.

The camp is set for July 25-27 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for Pre-K through sixth graders. Girls will be led by girls varsity Coach Richie Hester, and boys will be led by new varsity boys coach Talon Thomas. Campers will focus on fundamentals of basketball, as well as having a winning attitude, good sportsmanship and how to participate in both team and individual competitions.
Cost is $30 to participate, and Hester said fund raised will go back into the basketball program at Vina.
To sign up, call 256-412-6774 or 256-668-1790.
For $5 off the registration fee, bring a copy of this article in the Franklin County Times to registration.
