RBPD busts one for marijuana

A Golden, Miss., resident was arrested last week after a traffic stop revealed drugs in his possession.

Red Bay Police Chief Janna Jackson said about 9 a.m. July 15, officers stopped Jacob Wilkerson, 21, of Golden, Miss. K-9 Units alerted officers that drugs were present in the vehicle.

“In searching the vehicle, officers located five baggies of what appeared to be marijuana, a stolen handgun, one plastic baggie that appeared to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia,” Jackson said.

Wilkerson was charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana first degree, receiving stolen property third degree, carrying concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
