Fun field day set for June 18

An annual event that has become a highlight of the summer for many, the 24th Annual Fun Field Day will be held at the Chucky Mullins Center June 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hosted by the Franklin Civic Club.

The Fun Field Day brought out more than 250 people last year, including adults, according to event coordinator Al Rorer. “We’re hoping we can beat that this year,” Rorer said. “The kids love it.”

The special event includes games, activities, door prizes, a 3-point shootout tournament, prizes and food – all free to those who attend.
