Charles Ray “Charlie” Wigginton

Charles Ray “Charlie” Wigginton, 83, passed away May 11 at Generations of Red Bay. He was born in Belmont to N.C. and Ollie Wigginton. He was a machinist for American Can Company for 20 years and worked for the City of Red Bay for 10 years. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Services will be held May 15 at 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Larry Hill officiating. Burial is in Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Wigginton of Studio City, Calif., and his daughter, Jenny Wigginton of Florence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Wigginton.

Visitation will be held May 15, 1-3 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
