Steve Reed

Steve Reed, 45, of Russellville, was born March 18, 1971, and passed away April 27 at ECM Hospital.

Mr. Reed grew up in West Point in Cullman County but had lived in this area for the past 23 years. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Russellville. He was employed as a social worker with Florence Nursing and Rehab and was also employed at the Times Daily.

The funeral service will be April 30 at 2 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Bethsaida Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Marco Rice, Bro. Ralton McCarley and Bro. Daniel Welborn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home April 29 from 6-8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Heaps Reed; children, Emma Grace and Drew Caroline Reed; parents, Phillip and Barbara Reed, Sumiton, and Carrie Reed, Huntsville; brothers, Mitch and wife Braley, Madison, Miss., Jeff and wife Becky, Meridianville, and Brian and wife Maria, McCalla; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Chalmers and Minnie McManus and Hillary and Ila Reed.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Reed, Rick Stanley, Ryan Reed, Matthew King, Alex McCluskey and Clay Hodge.

A special thanks to Florence Nursing and Rehab and Southside Baptist Church for all the love and kindness shown to the family.
