Glinda Faye Williams Smith

Glinda Faye Williams Smith, age 69, of Hackleburg, passed away April 27 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Glinda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a member of Adams Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her family and her friends and her flowers. She left such an example to her family, as a kind and humble lady and was a true fighter up to the very end.

The visitation will be 6-8 p.m. April 28 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. April 29 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating the service will be Bro. Shermon Kimbrough and Bro. Jerry Pounders. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 54 years, John L. Smith; daughters, Sherry Smith, Kim Jones and husband Barry, Deirdre Quillen and husband Mickey; grandchildren, Andy Jones and wife Heather Neal, Austin Jones, Alaina Jones, John James Quillen, River Quillen, Ainsley Quillen and Logan Johnson; great-grandchildren, Liam Jones, Cameron Jones and Wesley Jones; mother, Thelma Cushman; stepfather, Clarion Cushman; sister, Judy Hockett; brother, Charles Williams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Linden Williams.

The pallbearers will be Andy Jones, Austin Jones, Donnie Williams, Robert Hall, Jack Quillen and Ronnie Quillen.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Keller Home Health and Keller Hospice; as well as to the many neighbors, friends, and family who have helped through this difficult time.
