Cancer survivors merit special dinner

Relay for Life is a community-wide effort anyone can be a part of, but for one special event, the focus is truly on the cancer survivors who inspire so many.

Relay for Life of Franklin County will host its annual Survivor Dinner April 26 at 6 p.m. at the A.W. Todd Center in Russellville. All cancer survivors are invited, and they should RSVP by calling 256-536-1863.

Coordinator Anna Duncan said Rita Jeffreys will be the featured guest speaker at the event, which is sponsored by Valley State Bank.

“We will have several people who will be receiving awards that night,” Duncan added.
