Brewer awarded scholarship to NW-SCC

Lauren Brewer has received an academic scholarship from Northwest-Shoals Community College.

Lauren Brewer, Hodges, has received an academic scholarship from Northwest-Shoals Community College.

A senior at Vina High School, Lauren is president of the Student Government Association and Future Business Leaders of America; 2015 representative at Girls State; and a member of the National Honor Society, Upward Bound, basketball team and cheerleaders.

Brewer is the daughter of Terry and Martha Brewer and the granddaughter of Mack and Jane Brewer, Frances Boyd and the late Herman Boyd.

While at NW-SCC, Lauren will pursue a degree in nursing.
