Jewell Dean Parrish

Jewell Dean Parrish, 84, passed away March 9 at DeSoto Healthcare Center, Southaven, Miss. She was born in Russellville to John Zills and Ollie Stout Zills. She was a hairdresser for 20 years, a Baptist and member of Eastern Star.

Services were March 12 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Ray Oliver officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay.

Survivors are two sons, Gary Parrish Sr., Southaven, Miss., and Ray Oliver, Saltillo, Miss.; ten grandchildren, Gary Parrish Jr., Tony Parrish, Matt Parrish, Drew Parrish, Jeremy Parrish, Blake Parrish, Cindy Holcomb, Wendy Howell, Jeremy Oliver and Austin Jones; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.T. Parrish, and son, Terry Parrish.

Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Visitation was March 12 from noon to 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
