Larry M. Smith

Larry M. Smith, 67, Mt. Hope, passed away March 9 as the result of an accident. He has been a resident of Lawrence County all of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was retired from Reynolds Metals.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Smith; children, Chris Smith and wife Brandi, Didi Smith and Deborah Goins and husband James Jr; sister, Rita Ryan; grandchildren, Kayla Owens, James Goins III and Cameron Ridge Smith; great-grandson, Bentley Jayce Owens; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Morris L. Smith and Doris Tubbs Smith.

The family will receive friends March 13 from noon to 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Johnathan Henderson and Wayne Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Methodist Church Cemetery, Mt. Hope.

Pallbearers include Jason Spillers, Jack Spillers, Jeff Riddle, David Ryan, Jimmy Cook and Donnie Hopkins.

Honorary bearers include Lanier Sibley, Hal Kirby, Bill Little, Jimmy Stancil, Lenard Harrison, Dewayne Smith, Gene Mitchell, Mike O’Neal and Clarence Coan.
