Franklin County Relay welcomes business vendor participation

Local business will have an opportunity this year like never before to support Franklin County Relay for Life, set for May 6.

The Relay for Life Committee is inviting businesses to set up as vendors at this year’s Relay for Life event.

“I would encourage local boutiques and independent sales consultants, like Plunder Party Jewelry or Pampered Chef, or anyone that does Arts and Crafts type things for sale, to sign up,” said Anna Duncan, local Relay for Life coordinator.

Interested vendors must obtain a registration form to request booth space. Forms are available at the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.

Booth space is 10 feet by 10 feet. Cost is $50; payment is due by April 25 and is required to officially lock in booth space.

“Relay for Life is a way to make a real connection to the community,” Duncan said. “When we are there cheering on our survivors and celebrating them, you will know you are making a real impact in someone’s life.”

To avoid vendor competition, only one vendor of any specific business or product – for example, Mary Kay, Jamberry or Scentsy – will be permitted to register.

Vendors are asked to have their booths in operation from 6-10 p.m. Vendors will need to provide their own table, tent and chairs.

For more information, contact Duncan, 256-820-1999 or anna.duncan@cancer.org.
