Huzie Eugene Burks

Huzie Eugene Burks, 75, passed away Feb. 15 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County and was retired from Sunshine Homes. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

Services were held Feb. 18 at 3:30 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church, Red Bay, with Bro. W.D. Humphres officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are three daughters, Sharon Burks, Patricia McCalpin and Donna Burks, all of Red Bay; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Erskin Burks and wife Lottie, Jerry Burks and wife Debbie, Johnny Burks and wife Jennifer and Arlis Burks and wife Kathy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce Berlin Burks; his parents, Ransom William Burks and Corene Mitchell Burks; and a brother, Ray Burks.

Pallbearers were Steven McCalpin, James McCalpin, Brandon McCalpin, Dallas Burks, Heath Burks, Ryan Burks and Dustin Burks.

Visitation was Feb. 17 beginning at 6 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church.
