Pauline Pounders

Etta Pauline Pounders, 94, entered Heaven’s gates Feb. 18. She slipped away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Pauline was a lifelong resident of Franklin County. She was a vibrant, energetic woman who enjoyed living life. She was a devout member of Isbell Church of Christ, and her faithfulness was an example of her love for Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Cazie E. Pounders; her parents, Amos and Jessie Rickard; brothers, Lloyd Rickard and Lindbergh Rickard; and sisters Evelyn Wingo and Mae Hester.

She is survived by one son, Stanley and wife Teresa; grandchild, Deanna Russ and husband Roy; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Morgan; brother, Kenneth Rickard; several nieces and nephews, with special mention for Gary Hester and wife Carol, Tim Hester and wife Marie and Sarah Hall and husband Roger.

Pallbearers include Gary Hester, Tim Hester, Doug Hester, Roger Hester, Steve Defoor and Raymond Horton.

The memorial service was held at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, with Bro. George Hutto officiating. Visitation was held Feb. 20 from noon to 2 p.m. The service followed in the chapel at 2 p.m. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens following the service.
