RCS rocket team launches prototypes

Recently the RCS Rocket Team met to launch prototype rockets designed to take the team back to the national TARC competition.

“Repeating what we did last year is what we’re going to strive to do, but competition this year is a lot better than last year,” said Andrew Heath, team captain.

Because they realize the tough competition, rocketry team members are using their time wisely to plan and practice for their upcoming competition. The prototypes they designed and tested could possibly be used in the TARC competition, but the team members have to test and determine which motors should be used with each rocket. They also used their practice to give the B-team a first-time flight.
