Dorothy Jean Payne

Dorothy Jean Payne, 65, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at the North Miss. Medical Center, Tupelo, Miss. She was born in Tennessee to James Harbison and Beatrice Defoe Harbison and she was a factory worker for 30 years.

Graveside services will be Monday, Feb. 8, at Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss. with Bro. Robert Hargrove officiating. Burial was in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are three children, Amanda Hill, Fulton, Miss., Brandon Payne and Connie Payne, both of Red Bay; six grandchildren, Richard Petree, James Payne, Brittany Hill, Dennis Hill, Kimberly Payne and Cassidy Payne; one sister, Debra Harbison, Red Bay, and two brothers, Denis Harbison, Waukegan, Ill. and Kenneth Harbison, Grayslake, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Carroll Payne and two children, Carolyn Petree and Bryan Payne.

Pallbearers were Richard Petree, Dennis Hill, James Payne, Denis Harbison, Kenneth Harbison and Paul Slak.

Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 7, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
