Seekers of the Past invite public to meeting

Seekers of the Past, a support group for the Franklin County Archives, is inviting the public to come out Feb. 9 at 6:30 p.m. for a special presentation.

Seekers of the Past formed in March 2003 with 28 charter members. The group met every month for ten years and still meets on a quarterly basis.

“We have had wonderful speakers ever since we’ve been meeting,” said Chris Ozbirn, archives director. Jim Lacefield, of Cane Creek Canyon Preserve, spoke for last quarter’s program. This quarter’s speaker has not yet been announced.

There is no charge to attend the meeting Feb. 9, which will be held in the courtroom at the Russellville Police Department (the Old City Hall).
