Lottie Lorene Bennett

Lottie Lorene Bennett, age 63, Tuscumbia, passed away Jan. 1 at her residence.

Lottie worked for years in a textile plant. She was a loving wife, great mother and wonderful grandmother. She was a mother to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 2 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Jan. 3 at Hopewell Church of Christ, LaGrange Road in Leighton, with the body lying in state one hour prior the service. Bro. Danny Winningham and Bro. Gerald Pennington officiated the service. Burial was in the adjourning church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 44 years, Bennie Bennett; daughter, Geanie Bennett Jeffreys; son, Cody Bennett; granddaughter, Lilith Bennett Jeffreys; sister, Billie Faye Crumpton; brothers, Joseph Garrett and Robert Garrett; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Lee Bennett; parents, Joseph and Mildred Garrett; and sister, Edna Rose Inman.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Pounders, the nurses and staff of Keller Hospice and Shoals Cancer Center for their love and care of our family.
