Friend initiates GoFundMe for Kerry Gilbert

Despite the return of Kerry Gilbert’s pancreatic cancer in August, the local celebrity musician has stayed positive.

To assist with mounting medical bills, a GoFundMe has been established. A tribute to Gilbert on the page reads, “He is not a man to ask for help or to ever let his friends and fans see the extent of his disabilities. What you see when you look at Kerry is his giving spirit that radiates through his trademark smile … For the past 30 years, it has been Kerry’s mission to use his music to make our community a better place … Kerry Gilbert is a man who has spent his life being there for others and now, more than ever – he needs us! Together, we can help Kerry win his life-saving battle with cancer.”
